Habagat Wreck Dive SiteThe Habagat Wreck Dive Site is located at Danao Beach, Panglao Island, Bohol, Philippines. It is 2-1/2km from Belleview Rock Resort and approximately 9min. by pump boat or outrigger boat. The site is rated 3/5. GPS Coordinates: N.09°32.408-E.123°45.358. This is a steep slope dive and is good for snorkeling. It is an easy dive site for PADI Open Water Divers or higher with a visibility of (+) at 15-25M, a depth of 8-34m and current at 0-1. The dive is most interesting at 8-12m and not so much below 40m. The area is not affected by dynamite fishing. Normally start the dive at the "Habagat" wreck at 35m, and then come up along the sandy slope in north/west direction to the "S"-shaped wall with overhang. Keep the wall on the right shoulder, going west. Watch your NDL if you plan to dive the wreck that was sunk in the year 2000. Bring a dive light to better appreciate the wreck and the small caves in the wall. One will encounter above the wreck Tall Fin Batfish (Platax Teira) and under the wreck the Big Lion fish (Pterois volitans), Giant Angelfish (Catenaries commersonii) and different kinds of Cardinal Fishes (Apogonidae). At the "S"-shaped wall, look for Angelfish; and at the dive on the slope, look among the feather starts for the Harlequin Ghost Pipefish (Solenostomus Paradaxus). Top of Habagat Wreck Dive Site
