Pungtud Wall Dive

Pungtud Wall Dive is located at Doljo, Panglao Island, Bohol, Philippines. It has a rating of 3/5 and distance is 11-1/2 km from Panglao which is approximately 31 min away by pump boat or outrigger boat. GPS coordinates: N.09º34.421-E.123º42.796. This wall dive is good for snorkeling and is an easy dive site for PADI Open Water Divers or higher. Visibility (+): 10-30M with a depth of 3-45m. Current is 0-2.

Entry point to the dive site is when you see the fishing hut on pillars in the water standing in line with the south point from Panglao baring 125º. Start the dive with the wall on the right shoulder, going north/west.

At the end of the dive it can happen that a slight current is against you. Return in shallow water towards the south if it gets too strong. This is a great place to make your safety stop and much is to be seen on the shallow 4m sandy pads. The site is most interesting at 7-15m and not so below 25m. The area is not affected by dynamite fishing.

The dive site has beautiful hard and soft coral gardens. There are lots of fishes such as Anthias, Raggy Scorpion fish, Ribbon eel (Rhinomuraena quaesita), One-striped fusiliers (Pterocaesio tessellata). In order to get a good look in the small caves along the wall, bring with you a dive light.
