Pyramid Beach Resort

Pyramid Beach Resort is a beachfront resort readily identifiable because of their cottages having unique angular architectural designs with overlapping nipa-woven roofing of extended leaves. It is situated along palm-fringed Alona Beach which is blessed with white sand and the blue waters only a few steps away.

A fairly new resort, Pyramid offers two-storey cottages with standard bedrooms located on the 2nd floor and a receiving/sitting area on the ground floor. Cheaper than Alona Kew, prices are per cottage and not per person. Cottages are built of native materials and are sturdy, solid and strong.

Amenities are basic. Air-conditioned and fan rooms are available. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable. There is not much need for air-conditioners for the cool sea breeze is more than enough to cool you on a hot summer day. Running water is abundant.

Location

Pyramid Beach Resort is located at Barangay Tawala, Panglao Island, Bohol, Philippines. The resort lies next to Sea-Quest Divers and is about 80m away from the Alona Kew beach entrance. It is only a 20-minute ride to Tagbilaran City.

Room Options

The cottages are beautifully designed in two levels; the first level serves as a cozy receiving room with a private bathroom and the second level houses the bedrooms. The bedroom opens onto a veranda which commands a very good view of the white beach and the azure blue sea beyond.

Cottage Pharaoh

Cottage Pharaoh is spacious and elegant; with native and modern interiors. The lower level has walls and ceilings made of amakan yet with tiled floors; a living room furnished with a modern upholstered sofa set and a cable TV; a dining area with refrigerator; and a toilet and bath which has some portion of the walls in glass and provided with a sink and mirror on the wall, a flushing toilet, and hot and cold shower.

Rooms on the 2nd level are equipped with two (2) double beds with a bedside table in between, and curtained large windows. The cottage has a maximum capacity of four (4) persons. Booked guests are entitled to free breakfast for two and free airport/seaport transfers.

Pyramid Bar & Restaurant

Opened in mid December 2006, the restaurant lies right on Alona Beach and serves Filipino and European dishes at reasonable prices. The restaurant is housed under a large native-inspired structure with amakan walls and thatched roofs. It makes much use of native yet contemporarily designed furniture including a long wood and bamboo bar top.Kerosene lamps grace the tables, ready for use when the majestic sun sets slowly in the horizon. Torches are the source of light at night, giving the place a tropical ambiance.

The restaurant specializes in a variety of charcoal-hot barbecue choices of fresh seafood treats while the bar offers alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. A variety of Italian and California wines are on display. Dart boards and pool tables are also provided so guests can play and wine as they please.
