The resort boast of 7 cozy and well maintained rooms with typical Filipino design provided with electric fans, toilet and bath with shower. It has a small but very good restaurant that serves Filipino and International cuisine especially German dishes and uses only the freshest produce in the market. A bar also caters to guests and is open the whole day and will only close 5 minutes after the last customer has gone to bed.

It has a fully equipped dive shop and school directly inside the resort about 10 meters away from the beach.

Location

The Swiss Bamboo House Resort Bohol is located directly at Alona Beach, Tawala, Panglao Island, Bohol, Visayas 6340, Philippines. Alona Beach is a 800 meter stretch of white powdery sand.

It is only 18 kilometers or 30 minutes away from Tagbilaran City, the one and only city of the province.

Rooms

All rooms at the Swiss Bamboo House Resort are equipped with a thermo filled with mineral water for drinking and other uses. Refill is readily available. Rooms are provided with twin beds with mattresses, bedcovers and linens, electric fan, toilet and bath with shower. The resort is connected to the public power supply. It provides 220 V / 60 Hz electricity.

Restaurant/Bar

The restaurant, though small, caters to the needs of guests. It serves a lavish breakfast and a light lunch (though a heavier menu can be served if ordered) and dinner based on a daily changing menu. Filipino and International cuisines, most particularly German dishes, are served. Fresh meat and seafood BBQ’s are served every night.

Coffee and cakes are readily available especially after the dives. As a precaution, only mineral water is served and made into ice cubes for cocktails and drinks. The restaurant is open from 6:30 am to 10:30 am for breakfast and 10:30 am to 6:00 pm for lunch/snacks and dinner from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Continental (butter, jam, bread, coffee/tea and juices), American (same as above but with additional egg, bacon or ham), and Filipino Menu (rice/garlic rice, corned beef/sausages, juices, coffee/tea) are offered for breakfast. Fresh German grey bread is available and the restaurant also accepts special orders.

A Bar is provided for the guests and is open the whole day, until 5 minutes after the last customers went to bed

Swiss Bamboo House Resort Diving

The Philippine Divers Swiss Bamboo House is headed by Manfred (Manni ) Slowik and is 10 meters / 33 feet from the sea. He is a well-experienced diver and has dived at the Red Sea, the Maldives, at Mediterranean Sea and the Philippines.

The dive sites around Bohol / Panglao are the topmost dive spots of the Philippines with a great variety of soft and hard corals, colorful anemones and fishes.

Morning dive departure of dive boat is at 8:30 am and approximate return at 11:00 am. Afternoon dive departure of dive boat is at 1:30 pm and approximate return at 4:00 pm. Night dive departure of dive boat is at 6:20 pm and approximate return at 7:45 pm.

Other Facilities

Money Changing: The resort accepts only cash payments (either Euro, US$, Sfr, Php) and Traveler’s cheques. The staff will help you find the best exchange rate for your money.

Tour Services

The resort staff will help you arrange your tours either to dive spots, dolphin/whale watching or excursions to the famous Bohol spots listed above.

Car/Motorbike Services

Vehicles will be provided for your shopping needs in Tagbilaran City and motorbike trips around Bohol Island.
